President and Chief Executive Officer

Joe DePinto is the president and CEO of 7-Eleven, Inc. and leads the premier company in convenience retailing. 7-Eleven is the world's largest convenience store chain with more than 50,250 stores in 16 countries, of which 10,100 are in North America.

Before being appointed chief executive of 7-Eleven in 2005, DePinto was president of GameStop Corporation. He also has held executive positions at PepsiCo, Inc. and Thornton Oil Corporation.

DePinto is a board director of 7-Eleven, Inc., OfficeMax (NYSE: OMX), Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE: EAT), The Dallas Chamber of Commerce, SMU’s Cox School of Business and The National Italian American Foundation. He is a member of the Advisory Councils for Outlook Leadership, The Pro Players Foundation, the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth and is a Network of Executive Women Champion.  He is also an active member of the Business Executives for National Security.

A native of Chicago, Ill., DePinto earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He and his wife, Ingrid, and their four sons reside in Southlake, Texas.
